Fred F. Reichheld is a Bain Fellow and founder of Bain & Company’s Loyalty Practice, helping companies achieve results through customer and employee loyalty. His work in the area of customer and employee retention completely quantifies the link between loyalty and profits. He is famously known as the creator of the Net Promoter system of management (NPS)—used by thousands of companies worldwide. At the invitation of leaders of the Achuar indigenous people of Ecuador, they traveled to their Amazon home, and learned of the urgent threat to their lands and culture, and a request for allies from the North who would “change the dream of the modern world.” Upon their return to the U.S., the group committed to a partnership with the Achuar, and The Pachamama Alliance was founded.
